Basically discuss Blockhead comics. Or if you happen to find The Amazing Buck-Toothed Stick-Man comics, or The Pirate and the Canadian episode, you can discuss them too. Discuss the latest comic, or any of the comics in the archive. It's really open, do what you want. :^)

Wow... really? Okay, cool. Thanks Lady Malchav. There's actually one in the pipeline that I'm writing with my brother, I just haven't really been finding time to work on it.

But hey, my classes are going really well, I'm pretty caught up. I'll move it toward the front of the my to-do list, right after doing my statistics homework and getting a new alternator for my car.

Does "I really like this comic." count as discussion?  Because if it does...

I know huh, I had better slow down because if I start too many threads then I won't have enough fingers to count them all...

Theme Song from M*A*S*H the movie.

Through early morning fog I see

visions of the things to be

the pains that are withheld for me

I realize and I can see...

[REFRAIN]:

that suicide is painless

It brings on many changes

and I can take or leave it if I please.

I try to find a way to make

all our little joys relate

without that ever-present hate

but now I know that it's too late, and...

[REFRAIN]

The game of life is hard to play

I'm gonna lose it anyway

The losing card I'll someday lay

so this is all I have to say.

[REFRAIN]

The only way to win is cheat

And lay it down before I'm beat

and to another give my seat

for that's the only painless feat.

[REFRAIN]

The sword of time will pierce our skins

It doesn't hurt when it begins

But as it works its way on in

The pain grows stronger...watch it grin, but...

[REFRAIN]

A brave man once requested me

to answer questions that are key

is it to be or not to be

and I replied 'oh why ask me?'

[REFRAIN]

'Cause suicide is painless

it brings on many changes

and I can take or leave it if I please.

...and you can do the same thing if you please.

Hmm... wow. That fits pretty well. Hehe I mean, it's so... overblown, so blunt, that it almost seems like a rhetorical suicide rather than a literal suicide, but I guess any upbeat song about suicide would have to be. I'm impressed. Smile

Well if you haven't seen the movie you should... the scene where the song is played explains the song better than anything else.

Not your typical chinaman.

The little subtexts underneath the comics are always the best.  Ties up the comic nicely.

Aw, thanks Mach. Smile

Y'know it's funny, I always thought M*A*S*H was just a tv show, I never realized there was a movie too.

I was thinking more of this song:

Suicide is painless or so it has been said
I could've killed myself but i'd be better off dead
So i took a deep breath, put a gun against my head
Pulled the trigger, click, should've been eating lead
But i wasn't, i was naked in john frost square
Mothers with pushchairs stopped and stared
For this situation i was quite unprepared
Tried suicide to be famous but nobody cared

Committing suicide to enhance my career
It worked for mickey and tupac shakir
Jesus was nailed up to some wood
2000 years later and book sales are still good
I heard in a song suicide is painless
And it's 80% sure to make you famous
Wanking with a bag on yer head tied to a door
That bloke from INXS he knew the score

S U I C I D E ...it might be messy but it's money for free

^_^
