This scenario was in my head so I cut and pasted the images and slapped some text on it.

Edit: Now I made another.

This jewelry set looks like it is made of jelly beans. Or Easter-themed candy. I might want it if I were a child. But then I would just try to eat it.

Calvinball should be declared the Officially Unofficial Game of Discordianism and played at the international Erisian Games, to be held on a completely irregular basis.

You know, I'm glad this picture is up there. It's got me thinking.

Our generation (80's babies) were the ones who grew up with Calvin during our formative years. I remember secluding myself for hours on end, rereading each thought provoking, hilarious strip again and again.

Now that we're shooting out Crotch Goblins by the metric ton... it's surprising to me that we don't have more sons named Calvin and/or Hobbes.

Driving home this evening, I saw a man on a payphone. I was surprised, sympathetic, and relieved.

I was surprised to see a payphone.

It's sort of cold this evening, and I felt bummed for him that he was shivering in the night air.

I felt relieved that he was able to locate a functioning pay phone. I honestly do not recall the last time I saw a pay phone at all.

There's still a payphone in my store.  I usually get about one person per day at u-scan asking to break a bill so they can use it.

I've noticed that lately, when I click on the "new" button next to a thread, if there's more than one new post in the thread it puts the second new post at the top of my screen.  I always have to scroll up to make sure I'm not missing one.  Is that happening to anyone else? (Not a major issue, just something that makes me go "huh.")

It's been happening to me too.  I just thought it was the display on my nety-fant.

When we still thought we were going to have a kid, it was going to be Calvin if it was a boy.  Because there's simply no way any son of Knight's, being both genetically his and raised by him, could possibly turn out to be anyone BUT Calvin.

I'm doing NaNoWriMo this February.

Because November is always just a disaster month for me, but if I do it in February- well, it's usually pretty quiet!

The only problem is, I just decided I was going to do this today.

I have a couple of characters in mind but I don't know about a story. The primary character I want to use is patently unlikeable, but I really enjoy writing about her. Daamnnn!

She has a lot of story that I'd love to finally write out, but she's really just not even a good person at all. -I- find her fascinating, mostly -because- she's deeply flawed and an unpleasant person to be around... but I'd like to write something that other people might someday read.

I mean, I'm pretty sure I'm never going to be a professional author, but I like writing so much, I might as well give a whack at creating something that might someday be publishable? I don't think I'm incapable of it. And I've got stories just floating around in my brain. >.<

Yes, I noticed that, too. Especially when the first new post is relatively short.

My cat can now reach the doorknob.  If she figures out how to open it, we're all doomed.  DOOOOOOM!!!!!

If we ever install lever-style doorknobs, there will be no containing the cats.  Lurch understands about doorknobs, but he can't get traction to turn a knob-style doorknob, so he's stuck with knowledge without an application.
