I really dislike the lack of comments. It was much nicer to see WHY people where hitting "admire" than it was to GET it. I also find I'm less likely to give renown without being able to leave a comment as to why I'm doing it.

Then there's the "disdain" side of things, too - it appears to still exist, but now it seems to me that people can do it anonymously. I'm really not cool with that. Someone can get disdained now without knowing who did it or why. Aside from this possibly causing bravery in douchey actions, I've seen and experienced occasions when seeing the reason for a disdain prompted the ability to clarify a completely misunderstood post/comment/circumstance. Even in the cases where it escalated problems, at least nobody ended up knowing that somebody was thinking poorly of them, but never knowing who or why

I'm much more opposed to renown as some kind of serious referendum on a persons forumly achievement. As it doesn't seem to be going away I suggest we all just kind of take it as a kind of silliness. Speaking of...
