Fighting the good fight

And I'm not saying they should bring her back, but Jade's death really pissed me off.  She didn't even die for anything other than giving angst.  Not that Angst is bad - it's what's made batman who he is - but pointless angst is annoying as all hell, just like Danny Chase.

And if there's one character who deserves to stay dead forever, it's Danny Chase from the New Teen Titans.

Does anyone else remember cheering when he died.  I know I did.  First time I saw him I thought to myself "God I hope Deathstroke puts a bullet through his head."

Well, rumor has it that one of the characters who we were complaining about being permanently dead (and we were wishing he wasn't) isn't - he's Supernova. (EDIT: And it's not Ted Kord).

YES!  I know!

I is so happy!   Smile

Strange thing is, that's what I've been saying for a while now, and NO ONE believed me!   Angry

Now we just need Ted back and I can be a happy little fan girl again.

Eager for action, Sir!

This may be premature, considering the setting, but I say Lord Shojo.

... This can't be TRUE, you BASTARDS! NOOOOOOOOO!

I suppose the way things were going it was only a matter of time. But this had better not be permanent. I'd be terribly unhappy otherwise. He's not been fashionable for a long while, that kind of political stance hasn't been cool in decades, but lately heroes like that are really needed.

I wasn't going to go to the comics stores this weekend, but now I have to. I have to see that this is done properly. If he dies, he'd better die well, and up against something more imaginative than DC managed when they tried this kind of stunt. Big dumb monster with spikes on, I mean really...

Odds are that one of three characters will take over the mantle for a while:
1) Bucky: being that he is no longer a bad guy and fighting on the side of the Angels, if you will.
2) Frank: Yes, that Frank. Since he's got the mask. Though, it would be really clever if they had Frank, while he was wearing the mantle of Cap, not kill anybody, out of respect for Cap's memory, from one soldier to another (that and they did have a team-up mini series).
3)  Young Justice: Since he is, technically son of the first Cap. Don't know who will take his place on the Young Avengers in the mean time, though. Bucky, maybe?

Neither do I, but we'll still probably have an interim Cap.

If you go and read the Marvel forums on their website, they're just slamming the hell out of the whole thing.

It's really kind of pathetic.

But it makes me pretty sure that this whole thing won't last more'n a few issues.

Eh, I have very little interest in Captain America outside of the Ultimates anyway... Although the old movie is hilarious.

I Heart Cap but beyond a bit of disbelief that Marvel would sink this low, y'know, whatever.

He'll be back, just as soon as the sales wane.  And if not -- fanfiction!

Now, can we shoot Didio?  Please?
