So I decided to click through on the "Flare" ad to see what it was all about and it took me here.  The first two titles there "All Girl Hero League" and "Black Enchantress" made me arch my eyebrow a bit.  Clicking through on those didn't really do anything to lower it.  The AGHL has such time-tested hero archetypes as "Funny Bunny" and "Cellular Girl."  The "Black Enchantress" turns out to be pretty much just that.

Thing is, now I'm a bit curious just how bad this might turn out to be.  I'm wondering if anyone else is willing to go down the proverbial rabbit hole with me or, Gods forbid, if anyone's already read some of these titles.

Thoughts?

I just read the first issue of Flare from Wowio.  It's just... so... bad.  I mean the dialog is full of some of the most horrendous accents and stereotypes.  The art is crap.  The actual plot behind the whole thing is complete pulp.

It's really something special... the short bus kind.
