I'm happy. See, I'm smiling!

So, I keep talking about getting back into photography, but for a number of reasons, I haven't done it. Yesterday, I found myself with some time on my hands, and as I was looking out my window of the train on my ride home from work, I saw a spot that I keep thinking to myself "I want to take some pictures of that!"

So I got home, got the digital camera that we've got on loan from Alyse's mom, and ran out to go take some pictures. One of the reasons that I've been holding off is that I want a digital camera, and I'd prefer a digital SLR, since if I get back into photography, I'm hopefully going to want to do more serious stuff. As a result, I've been holding off on buying a camera, since they've been really expensive. However, prices on decent entry level DSLRs have gone down a lot, and technology has gone up a lot, and now you can get a good 10 megapixel DSLR for not very much at all, compared to when they first started coming out.

In any case, I grabbed the loaner digital that we had at home and headed out. It was kind of foggy and grey, but not too bad, and I got a few decent shots. Not great, but better than I'd been expecting, given how long it's been since I actually went out specifically to take pictures. It reminded me how much I need to re-learn, but I'm finding that I'm really looking forward to it.

Here are links to some of the better shots. Warning, the full shots are fairly large. As such, I'm going to provide links to my LJ gallery, rather than upload them here. I did not edit down the sizes of the originals, but the links provided are to smaller versions, and you can get the full version by clicking on the thumbnails.

By the way... All photographs are

Innuendo- now there's a word that's full of itself!

* the term... (insert term here) ... is uttered with malice toward none.  Any offense taken is solely the responsibility of the person taking offense.  The utterer of said words pleads ignorance to the perceived slight and utter indifference to its occurrence.
