What catfish said.  I've totally been where you were, as I'm sure have we all.

So... just to keep you going while I sort through some of the other work this little project is creating, here is the new style Rook. A change from the usual, Plan, Base, Side, Iso (measurements), Iso (no measurements). Looking at it, I may need to rethink either this or the Queen.

ETA: Pictures! lol

Or, here's a sneak at the other version of the Alt Rook, Iso only, no measurements.

I like, and in a separate way from the like for the first set. Keep working on both!

I have a sneaky suspicion that I may now have to do a 3rd set, just to see where that rook leads... but that can wait.

I like this. The other one seems a touch too ornate for my taste, but this looks good.

OK - I need to edit that knight to avoid later height adjustments later (basically more difficult than it looks because all the intersecting lines need to be shifted accordingly with the extra 10mm on the height without any adjustment to the base size - capiche?). In the meantime here's another teaser I just got done with. Alt set 1 - Bishop. Iso only. I have thought to include the extra height on this - I'll post a measured version when I get round to it, but it's essentially 80mm high (pawns = 40mm, Rooks = 60mm, Knight will= 70mm, Queen & King = 90mm yeah?)

p.s - dammnnnnn! It's nearly 8am! I have work in 7 hours. sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep!

OK - bit of a switch back to the original set now. Here's the king, altered with extra height to the full 90mm which I will be looking to carry through both sets (and onto the third if and when I come back to it). I present plan, front, back, left, right, Iso (all with measurements) and Iso (with no measurements).

Last one for a few days. Board (still the second one) set with new height first set. Various views. I'm sure it's obvious by now what going on with each.

Once more unto that pass... The Alternative set (1).

I decided to do something a... little different with the Pawn.

Here's how it all look set. I've designed a new board for this, allowing an extra 10mm per square and a little angled lip around the sides.

Dammit. I just realised I forgot to adjust the knight. I'll sort it out later.

Keep it up, sir, if you need a critique, just ask and I'll put out, but til then...well it just looks great.

Thanks, Mach. If you do have any critical comments, I'll hear 'em. In the meantime, here's an adjusted shot of the alt set and board, with the amended knight (check the adjustment to the base...) and trying to show off the special feature of the pawn.
