I really like the left half of that picture, Lady M.

Past the frog, it just looses its appeal to me, maybe because of the strange gaudy next to the simplistic. It's not enough contrast to make me love it, and too much for me to like it.

Oh.

All I have for you fellas today is a year-old piece of prose I just dug up out of my sketchbook.
This was written in a delirium-and-boredom-induced madness whilst on the bus between Boston and Syracuse, which direction, I don't know.

"Freshman year college...who hasn't made mistakes freshman year college?"
"....you...." she intoned, her voice unsteady, shaking with anger.
"Yes.  Me, me, me, I've made mistakes.  But I've moved on, and so should you."
"I....I h....hate you."
"Look at yourself.  Young, beautiful, full of energy, stamina.  How many years have you spent, stewing?  Chasing after me?  Jesus.  you could have had any man you wanted."
He pulls her around so she is facing him and lifts her head up by her chin.
"Young and foolish.  You konw I was like you once.  Only difference is I wizened up."
She is silent.  Her quite, four-year fury expressed simply, in hot tears that spring to her eyes.
She tries to bite them back, willing them to not flow down her cheeks.

She fails.

Sanya, wow...just wow.  You're blasted good.

Mach, I like it, you excel with both the visual and written arts, is there anything artistic that you can't do?

Some bits out of my sketchbook:

Snitching for a supers Roleplaying concept (but not City of Heroes/Villains). I'm thinking I'm going to use the character as a villain.

I'm in need of some art assistance for my web page I'm working on. My graphic-design-fu is rather weak, so I'm looking for any help that could be offered in designing a good header for my site (or even if someone wants to design it for me, that would be great too).

EDIT: I should probably give more information. The header is to be the logo for a lesser faction in the RPG Feng Shui that I'm creating. It's called "The Order of Azrael" and is from about the period of the Third Crusade, and their goal is to undo all the "damage" that has been caused by the Protestant Reformation.

This is what happen when Sammy gets ahold of a "How To Draw Disney Princesses!" book...

Both pictures were drawn from scratch, using the nerdy little book as a guide... outlined and colored in photoshop.

Snow White's all dolled up.
They look good, I'm terrible at drawing anything in Disney style or anything-else-style, and that's not for lack of trying.

Mach, I like it, you excel with both the visual and written arts, is there anything artistic that you can't do?

I suck at painting.  I suck, suck, suck suck at painting.
Also sculpture.  I suck at sculpture, in addition to having an utter distaste for using the medium.  Not to say I don't like things that have been done with it and that I don't wish I could create sculptures, but I just hate making the stuff.

Not mine, but some things of my brother's I thought were cool enough to share. Smile

This one's a little big, so I'll link it, but it's awesome. It's a bunch of animals stampeding around London, taken from photos he took on a trip to London and at the zoo.

And now that he's moved into my old bedroom and had it repainted, this is what he did to the wall.

(Note the use of an awesome Cat Empire quote there. Wink )
