I had less success with the marbling. I'm inspired to keep at it, though. That's beautiful.

Thanks Sporks! The marbling took me five tries or so before I got it right. I just kept removing the mess ups and repainting my nails until I got it figured out.

Tonight's attempt with skinny nail art brushes, white and silver stripes on sparkly pink.

First attempt with dotting. I don't have a real dotting tool, so I used a shish kabob skewer. Next time I would try this on a lighter background color so that the branches show up better.

To be honest S_C, I had kind of worried I was starting to litter the board with pictures no one was enjoying but me, so I'm glad to hear you like them! I'll keep posting. Thanks.

I bought some zig zag patterned scissors and used them to cut scotch tape to make these patterns. I'm not positive I like the effect yet. The tape is hard to cut, so I may try my husband's suggestion of sticking the tape to freezer paper, then cutting it and peel it off. I also broke three nails, so some of them are unusually stubby, it may look nicer when they're all the same length.

Oooh i really like the holographic blue/silver! I've just bought myself some Matt polish, so i'm going to have a go at matt nails with shiny or glitter tips.
