ZOMG IT'S SPORKALICIOUS!
Sporktastic things

I've got a lot of artwork that I've posted, so it may take me a bit to get it all in this thread. I'm willing to give it a go, though.
This first piece was one of my favorites that I posted, because I had photos of the progress of the piece.
I used to play a game called Dofus and did a bit of game-related artwork.
Here is a screenshot of the original character and some of his equipment.
I chose to de-chibify the character and his fire bwak.
I usually use a sort of whitewash to ghost in the figures before I paint them.
This was painted with acrylic paint. I had received a painting set gift with paint and canvasses. I had painted the canvasses already and all I had left was the glossy rectangle of white cardboard that was part of the packaging for the canvasses. I had nothing to paint on. Just this perfect... plain white.... rectangle....
The glossiness was actually a lot of fun to work with. It resulted in highly detailed brush strokes. If I had the opportunity, I would work exclusively with glossy cardboard packaging. I've tried many substitutes, but nothing measures up to it.
Final painting:
I'm being tempted with Indian food for lunch so I am giong to run off now. When I get back, I will post more of my artwork.

More artwork!
This one is one of my first paintings
And now some doodles. This first doodle was done on a yellow post it at work during a very long meeting. I took it into Photoshop and colored it on a lunch break.

Ever consider a career or a stint as a cartoonist?

I had not considered a career as a cartoonist because I can't seem to pin down a style and have issues drawing the same thing over and over. Not any sort of repetition issues, just I have troubles making it exactly the same.
More artsy things!
Sculpture-
I made this when I was playtesting a RPG called Legends of Kralis. There weren't any ferret-people miniatures that I could find so I made one out of fimo. My miniature painting skills are not so great, though.

Ah, you don't need to make things look the same to be a cartoonist. Just enough to make it recognizable enough that its the same thing from before.

This guy's work (name is Brandon Bolt) is a prime example of this.
Needless to say I think you'd make a hell of a cartoonist.

You really think so? I might give it a go, then. I actually have a lot of free time now. *ponders* I just might.
Crystal, I dug up a photo of the last thing we made as a group project. Remember the pumpkin?
Graphic Designey work, not sure if I ever posted any of it before.

I still want to adapt that painting for counted cross stich. I'm not sure my design skills are up to the challenge, though.
How would you feel about it, sporks? I wouldn't be selling it.

Cool! Do you have a full resolution jpeg you can send me? I'll print a good copy at kinkos and put my huge binders full of embroidery floos to good use.

I do believe that painting is currently in the hands of my friend Michelle. I gave it to her before I left as she really liked that one a lot.
However, she knows several people that work at Kinkos and there are scanners there. What size/resolution would you like it scanned at? I'll see what I can do to get a copy of it.

But a perfectly scannable size. I was thinking of trying it at 5x7 in 18 count but I may try it full-size if we can get a good scan.
If the scan is full sized resolution will not be a huge issue. the best resolution I can do is 18 pixels per inch!

OMG, people's art inspiring MORE art sounds liek a great thread!
I love how utterly RANDOM lots of your stuff is. Like, it's all really good, but then you really look at it, and it makes you go "huh?" ^_^
I love how genuinely disappointed and confused you seem about your gymnastics drawing turning into a bird person.
