TGU's experiments with Apo
« on: December 23, 2009, 10:38:26 PM »
I recently (as in yesterday) downloaded Apophysis, a freeware fractal artwork program that I've been interested in for a while.  As I learn and experiment with the program, I'll upload the pieces I particularly like here, along with any words I feel are fitting.

Assume that uploading each image with give you better detail.

---------------------------

Go son, go down to the water
And see the women weeping there
Then go up into the mountains
The men, they are weeping too

Father, why are all the women weeping?
They are weeping for their men
Then why are all the men there weeping?
They are weeping back at them

This is a weeping song
A song in which to weep
While all the men and women sleep
This is a weeping song
But I won't be weeping long

Father, why are all the children weeping?
They are merely crying son
O, are they merely crying, father?
Yes, true weeping is yet to come

This is a weeping song
A song in which to weep
While all the men and women sleep
This is a weeping song
But I won't be weeping long

O father tell me, are you weeping?
Your face seems wet to touch
O then I'm so sorry, father
I never thought I hurt you so much

This is a weeping song
A song in which to weep
While we rock ourselves to sleep
This is a weeping song
But I won't be weeping long
But I won't be weeping long
But I won't be weeping long
But I won't be weeping long

(This one is titled "Weeping," by the way)

I have two possible titles for this one, I just can't decide if "Golden Delicious" or "Kallisti" is more pretentious:

Oooh, that one is beautiful!

Looks like two graceful dragons racing -- perhaps even vying -- among the chaos of New Year's fireworks.

... What, this isn't the new Rorschach test?

It's lovely, TGU.

Rorschach test?  Then I see naughty bits.  That's the right answer, isn't it?  ISN'T IT?
Your believing or not believing in karma has no effect on its existence, nor on its consequences to you. Just as a refusal to believe in the ocean would not prevent you from drowning.

Yeah, I see your dragons. If you tilt your head 90 degrees to the right, the top, foremost "dragons" look like birds [with old-hag-heads wearing wide-brimmed hats.

This one makes me think of Coyote in Gunnerkrigg Court.

His shape in Gunnerkrigg Court is often rather...fluid. So still say Coyote.

It reminds me of fireworks.
Friendship is like peeing on yourself: everyone can see it, but only you get the warm feeling that it brings.
