Well, another year flat broke.

As year, it's been good, though -- between budgeting, slightly, increased income and a significant drop in cost of living, we were able to afford some basics we'd been putting off for a long time. I don't think we went to the church pantry even once in 2011. So: progress. But still, broke again, and not because we've been extravagant. I wish it bothered me less. Not going to starve or go homeless between now and next epxected income, though, so hurrah.
