I'll take American History for $2000 please, Alex.
Turns out that the current owner of West End Games is selling, because of backlash from the failed Septimus proeject in March and a subsequent whiny blowout of the owner against the gaming community as a whole.  So he's selling West End and its properties.  Here's his announcement.

Did you actually play Star Fighters?  The actual tactical, stand-alone supplement to d6 Star Wars?

Or are you just referring to the rules that were in the main game instead in regards to starfighter combat?

We used the rules in the main game, because the only person who had Star Fighters told us it was a chit-based strategy boardgame that took even longer to resolve combat than the d6 rules did.  After looking it up, yeah, it's *way* too fucking detailed for a suitable expansion to a pen and paper RPG.

As a stand-alone game, it was a lot of fun for my brother and I.

Having never played it as an expansion to a pen and paper RPG, I can't say for sure.
