It could be, among other odd things my Firefox occasionally fails to render the PHP files and insist that I select a program to open them with upon accessing the site. Firefox is a little glitchy. I love it dearly, but kinda glitchy.

Both of us have used Firefox since fr0evar and have it piled up with a bunch of extensions, and nothing remotely like this problem has happened anywhere else. She hasn't changed computers or software at all, she just moved. It is probably some kind of odd network issue.

Edit: Just to completely kill and bury that one, Nat says she still has the problem in IE.

Nothing to see here.

I don't think I'll ever get used to this whole "first post stickied at the top of each new page" thing.

Just to be clear, the only reason I mentioned trying to log in at the same time as Bistro is to show that the problem can't possibly be what the error message is telling me the problem is.

I remember posting something about this a while ago... but it seems it hasn't fixed itself yet.

Am I the only person who's never been able to use the quick reply?

I type my message, hit post, and it refreshes the page... without my post and losing my text. As much fun as it is to type up a long rant, have it deleted, and then get to completely reword it, I often don't bother with the rewording and reposting. (hence the extremely low post count... the 'reply' button is evil and shouldn't need to exist.)

Okeydokey...here's a problem I just found.

I just tried clicking on my Livejournal link, and found that zeta is trying to send me to the following location:

http://www.livejournal.com/users/http://madwillyb.livejournal.com

The livejournal default URL is laid out as "http://username.livejournal.com".

Ya might want to have the profile info page ask for an LJ username rather than just say "Livejournal:".
Especially if you're gonna have Zeta build the URL for the users.

This is weird... I'm using Seamonkey 1.0.6, and being the lazy git that I am, I use its integrated Password Manager on my home box. For some reason or other, it stores my zCh password not as what I typed, but as a sequence of asterisks. All other sites I use it for, the Password Manager works just fine, though. What gives?

Links (from the homepage, at least), are using a FQDN path, instead of /, so depending on if you come from zetachannel.com or www.zetachannel.com you can get weird logged-in/not-logged in results.  Namely, I enter www.zetachannel.com, but since the login link goes to zetachannel.com, I get a cookie for that domain, so I get logged in for that domain, but never www.  End result, whenever I come to the home page I am not logged in, unless I click down into a forum, and back out to the homepage.  Yes, I could leave off the www, but not everyone will.

Now there's something that could be causing some of the login bugs I've heard about.

I'll fix that one ASAP, qeantk.

Done. From now on, going to http://www.zetachannel.com/ will redirect to http://zetachannel.com. I always hated the "www" in front of a URL.

Anyone with afected bookmarks will likely have to log back in, but that's no big deal.

Ya, I finally got tired of one of the login bugs, so traced down the cause.

That should work - you still shouldn't be using the full domain in the links, for a variety of reasons in addition to this, but meh, whatever works.  And I suspect it's buried in bits of code here and there.

Hmm... lately the Subject lines haven't been showing up in posts, and I have to look up to the page title to figure out which thread I'm reading.  Yes, I have that bad of a short term memory.

Bah.  Thanks for pointing that out.  I guess I shall have to get used to it.

Ya, if you open a bunch of threads into tabs using the "new" link, it does sort of strip a lot of the easier to note immediate context out. :/  But you can still check the window/tab title, to see which is which.

It seems like every 3rd or 4th click on a link today zCh is down for... but then it's right back up a few seconds later.

Anyone else getting this?
