Sooooo I'm going to be a bridesmaid at a friend's wedding in July.  The bridesmaid dresses are being ordered soon and we're supposed to tell them our size based on our measurements.  Their chart says a size 2 is for 33.5 - 26 - 36 and a size 4 is for 34.5 - 27 - 37.  My measurements are 34 - 26 - 36.  Do I order a size 2 or a size 4?

I'd say order a 4 and have it fitted by a tailor.

If you get a two, your boobs may feel constricted, show extra cleavage, or pop out of the top of the dress, depending on the design. These results could be good or bad. I'd look at the style of the dress and see what is most likely before deciding.

You can get either size tailored to fit - it would be pretty easy to upsize the 2 if you take it in at the same time/same place someone else is going to get theirs tailored down.

But general wisdom is to go with the too-big size and tailor it down, and then you don't have to worry.

I'd say the only real reason to get the 2 is if you want to try to avoid getting it fitted altogether for money or hassle reasons.

Trying to remember an old game I used to play. It was around 12 years ago the last time I thought about it.

This game was a maze of sorts. You had to make brightly coloured balls bounce around and eventually out (I think) and they had funny voice effects, saying Whee! and Byebye! and something I swear was G'ding-gi!

Any ideas?

Split the difference and get a 3.
Actually, I have no idea what I'm talking about.

On dresses and clothing in general.  It's a lot easier to take something in than it is to let something out.  As Tamsin said, there may not be enough fabric there in a size 2 to take out the bust.  Whereas a bigger size can always be taken in.

This all sounds very complicated. Just claim Betazoid heritage and dodge the issue entirely.

I have never used a pressure cooker in my life.  However, my awesome cookbook of awesomeness has all these yummy recipes that seem to require one.  And then my mother gave me a pressure cooker when I moved.  And the instructions of "make sure all the gaskets and pressure valves are just right OR ELSE" are a little intimidating.

So before I start experimenting and potentially make something explode, does anyone have any advice?

You will most likely notice a leak well before the pressure gets high enough to be dangerous. In fact, a leak will keep it from getting a high-enough pressure. Just check for rubber gaskets to be seated and not twisted, do a trial run and see if it whistles or burbles or anything.

Keep an eye on the gauge, that's the safety feature that matters.

This, but as a further complication -- size charts can ALSO suffer from size inflation. I strongly recommend going in to a bridal shop that sells the relevant line and getting fitted.

Girl I'm seeing has texted me asking if we can have "a play in my hair night". What is this?
