Q: What the hell is Zeta Channel, anyway?

A: Aside from being an oblique reference to a B-52s song, it's just a name. Every board needs a name, and that's the name this one has.

Q: Can I be a mod?

A: Probably not. If you have to ask whether I'll make you a mod, then I've probably already decided not to.

Q: Zeta? Isn't that some alternative operating system?

A: There is such an OS called Zeta, but this site has nothing at all to do with it.

Q: Where can I get one of those cool avatars you guys use?

A: I dunno. We use 100x100 pixel avatars, just like LiveJournal, so I guess you could start from there.

Q: How do I get one of those sweet custom titles like the one the Sociopathic Queen of Evil Ponies has?

A: Custom titles are distributed at the whim of the Admins. But if you really really reeeealy want one, bribe Kyle with a Paypal donation to the Zch maintenance fund. Be aware that we reserve the right to refuse specific custom titles. Grounds for refusal of a title might include offensiveness, legally problematic, or formatted lIkE tHiS.

Is there any way we can have an icon showing which threads we've replied in? 

Actually, dadu, I think it's already there.  Threads you've replied in have a little tail coming off their icon, making it into a speech bubble.

If that's the case, you shoul dknow that I do plan to create all-new forum graphics for zch. It's on the list.

I agree, it's not very obvious. Come to think of it, that's one of the things that made xForums so appealing to me...it was sooo very easy to visually tell what threads I'd checked, whether they had updated since, etc. Most forums make me dizzy trying to figure that out without just clicking on the damn thread.

When you get a chance, is there any way we could get some of the smilies we had waaay back on tb?  I remember there being a fish in a jar that I liked quite a lot.

By the by, NOT IMPORTANT AT ALL!  Deal with other stuff first.  Just something I'd like to see if it's possible.

Zeech would be a good one I think (written zch or possibly just zc).

Q: What is the correct abbreviated pronouncation of ZetaChannel? Zetachan? Zchan? Slurring a "z" sound and a "ch" sound into an indistinguishable, stingy sound?

"Ze-ta-Chan-nel", "Ze-ta-Chan", "Zee-Chan", and "Zed-Chan" are all acceptable pronounciations.
