A bit of self-promotion:

You may have heard of MST3K. You may be aware of that team's ongoing projects, including Rifftrax, mp3s you can download and play along with movies (so you can get trax for movies that would never, ever, ever sell rights for such use on shows like MST3K). iRiffs is a fan-based community supported by the MST3K/Rifftrax team.

A friend of mine makes a bunch of these (under the label "Ice on Mars") that are quite good.

So recently, he asked if I wanted to help him write a script for Karate Kid. I giggled and squealed and said yes, yes yes.

Then the voice actors we were counting on punked, so starting last weekend three friends and I started recording.

This is a small sample, six minutes or so of our first take. But I think a taste of just how much fun this stuff is.

Look!  Look!  I'm in some sort of semi-professional video!  Fast forward to 4:43 and you'll see me in the black shirt with my wife and friends, having lunch at Club 33!  How cool is that?!?  I don't even remember there being a video camera there that day, and a friend just called me all excited because he randomly saw me in a video online!  I'M FAMOUS!!!
