I think once I get my act together a little, I'll post my resume here, and pimp some of the things I sell or am trying to sell (photo cards, painting, a novel, acting/improv/mime workshops).

I would really like to purchase one of your paintings, but I am fuckall broke. I'll see what moneys I can find for that though, and when you get stuff together, let me know which ones you are selling. I may be interested in prints of your photography too, I can't remember which pictures caught my eye a while back though.

I'd like to know more about your photo cards. Do you have a collection you'll be putting together as stationery? Do you have any samples available for viewing?

I have in the past sold a line of such cards, though I have none made at the moment. I'd need to find the materials locally to re-create 'em, but I am sure I can do so.

The last batch sold for $3/card with envelopes, but that was the price set by the bookstore I sold them at. Sold as a set, I am not sure how I'd price them.

I don't have a specific sample of the cards, but here's a page of some of my photos, to give you an idea of my style -- though these are all San Diego photos, and the cards I had made were all taken in Maine:

I think I would be interested in buying a set of assorted cards.

Is it quite likely you're coming to prom? Have you considered bringing a few sets with you? Maybe others would like to buy some, too. Plus, there wouldn't be any shipping charges.

Good idea; I need to either have other income or pre-charge (which I am a little leary of) as I need to buy materials before I can physically sell them...

I have an artist friend, and he's started selling high-quality prints. What HE does is charge a 50% deposit, with the rest due at pickup. It covers costs of materials and printing, so at the worst he's got a print he can sell in the future, already printed.

Hm, not a very bad idea.

Right now I am eyeballs-deep in Forbidden Zone, but when that relaxes (say, after the Halloween opening), I will put together some stuff.

I have also had some really interesting ideas about how to get some use out of my manuscript while waiting (ha!) for it to get sold: what would you think of cards using some of the goofier text as a graphical element?
