So does anyone else watch Lost?  Did anyone else see Lost tonight?

It looks like they're really getting into something interesting.  Just in time for this season to end too.  Ah well.  Next season should be great.  Looks like they're not gonna run short of stories anytime soon.

The first one I was expecting, especially after he said "I'm sorry."   The second one?  I screamed out loud. >_<  :'(

Times like this I wish season 2 was out on DVD already so I could watch it in my tiny amount of leisure time.

Bahhh. How long are they going to string that shit out before they actually start doling out answers? Or would not being mysterious and incomprehensible drop ratings?

I don't think he's got the sickness, either. I think a sickness would make him kill randomly, and he was covering it all up like he had a plan.

He may not have meant to kill Libby, but I get the feeling that she was as good as dead even if she hadn't startled him.  Cold blood killer or no, he couldn't have any witnesses, so even if he hadn't've been startled, even if he'd been in complete control of his faculties, I think she was a goner anyway.  Wrong place at the wrong time, is all.

I've been disappointed with this season, overall.  Not much has happened until the last couple of weeks.  Not nearly as strong as the first season.  Hopefully the creators and writers will tighten things up next season, because if next season has the same amount of story-progression as this season, I'll be super disappointed.

That griping said, things are coiming together quite nicely at the moment.  Kick-fucking-ass.  This week's episode looks flippin' amazing, it does.

As for Michael... I haven't come to a conclusion about him yet.  I think it's something the Others are making him do so he can see Walt again, which makes him damaged goods.

I have to admit, though... I want to see more of Mister Eko!  Favourite character since Charlie.

Not as of yet, no.  Actually, I didn't even realize there was a website until the last episode when there was a Hanso Foundation commercial.

I'd say "Warning: possible spoilers" but that's said on the thread title.  So, basically, if you're not up to speed then stop reading this right now.  I'm too lazy to do the whole rot13 stuff. (apologies to those who would prefer that i do)

Regardless.

Since the third-to-last episode (the one where Ana-Lucia got shot), I've been thinking: what if the Hanzo corporation is the Lost equivalent to the Umbrella Corporation?  Seriously now.  I'm half expecting that to be the case.

Also, I don't think that the Others are castaways at all.  I think they're Hanzo scientists conducting experiments on this island.  I still don't know what's with the island.  It's equal parts science and spiritual, it seems, so I can't figure that one out.

I gotta say, though, that I'm really excited about next week's (this week's?) finale.  I mean... fuck, man, FINALLY some freakin' answers.  Almost the entire season's been so lacking in plot development that it's nice that they're actually giving us some answers.  Granted, with every answer we'll probably see about three or four new questions pop up, but I'm willing to accept that.  I just want something important to happen.

Also, here's an interesting note: they can only drag this on for so long.  They've only been on that island... what, two or three months?  Pretty soon the kid who plays Walt is gonna be lookin' like he aged tremendously during those few months.  Sure, they could blame it on the island, but that'd be too easy.

This is where I see the whole Hanzo-as-Umbrella coming into play.  I can see the show spilling out off the island and into the rest of the world, maybe not as this show but as a spin-off series once Lost is over and done with.

I hope, however, that not all of it is explained away with pseudo-science.  I want soething at least vaguely supernatural to come into play when the show finally ends its run (whenever that will be).  I hope to see it end on a strong note, though, not to do what a lot of other series do and to keep going on and on and on, stretching things so far that it just gets tiresome (can anyone say X-Files?).

Regardless... bring on the season finale!  Booyah!
