Name your kid after us, we'll give you a gas card

Without a doubt, the best part of this article is the Shady Lady Ranch & Brothel giving out $50 gas cards if you spend $300 or more in a month. Cheesy

Snarky hedgehog

Japanese engineers create a robot to train dental students.

The robot responds with simulated pain if the student makes a mistake, responds to commands, and generally snugs itself down right in the uncanny valley.

Suck it, hippies.  Soy is bad for your brain.

Now, in the article it says that this may have to do with the study being done in Indonesia and in Indonesia formaldehyde is used to preserve some foods and blah blah blah, but I clearly remember SEVERAL years ago (I can remember because I don't eat a lot of soy Wink) a study out of Hawaii that showed a strong link between tofu consumption and senility.  In fact, I'm pretty sure I still have the article taped up on the door to my old room at my parents' house.  I'll have to go get it down again.

*goes into wild-assed theory mode*

Maybe they've adapted to the stuff like Europeans have adapted to digesting alcohol or herder cultures and their descendants have adapted to digest milk, and it's only harmful to pasty-faces hippies?

I think this almost deserves it's own thread, but it definitely needs to be discussed:  Moon-walker claims alien contact coverup.

What do you think?  Are all of the coverups going to finally end?  Is he just senile?  Maybe he's been eating too much Tofu?

Eh, wasn't he the one who was trying to contact people back on Earth telepathically during the mission so they could finally prove telepathy is real?  Even in the astronaut corps you can get crackpots.

Really, he was doing that?  I would have thought that the process of becoming an astronaut is so difficult it would have weeded out all the crackpots.

Still, NASA didn't say that there  weren't any coverups, they only said that they weren't involved in any coverups.  We can keep hoping.

I'd have to dig out my copy of A Man on the Moon and look it up again, which would be difficult because I don't remember what box it's in.  But yeah, I'm pretty sure it was him.
