Yes it is. Isn't it delightful?

By the way, Season 5 never happened. The show ended after four seasons.
My 2¢.

Bah! Season 5 was fine.

It was those first few episodes that had to pad out what was SUPPOSED to be a more in-depth exploration of the events after "Intersections in Real Time".

The season was rolling again by "Secrets of the Soul", but by then a lot of people thought JMS had lost his touch. He hadn't.

GAH. Catfish, could we please have a spoiler tag on all of that? This is Darth's and my first time thru B5.

Tell you what. I'll agree Season 5 never happened if you agree Thirdspace never did either.

OK, Cyth, that was my bad. I tried to keep it vague, but that was still spoilery. Shall I pay you for the brainbleach?

ETA: Obviously it's been a long time since I saw people who were going through B5 the first time. What's your impression at the 40% mark? Do you feel the FX hold up well, 15+ years out? And with what did you start -- the prequel, the pilot, or the first episode?

It's all good; I'm a lot less sensitive about spoilers than Darth is. :) ... I think I'm also better at skimming before "really" reading text, and flushing my cache before I write to memory, as it were. ;)

Wrt impressions... We started with Season 1, Episode 1. The FX are extreeeemely outdated in Season 1 ("I can count your polygons from here!"), but they're much better in Season 2 -- at least better enough that it's no longer distracting. ;)

Further impressions below. Very spoilery if anyone's actually behind Darth'n'I in watching B5 thru the end of S2...

In short, I'm excited to see S3 and the rest!

Bah.  I was able to get seasons 1, 3 and 4 at a reasonable price, but not 2.  Dunno if the decision was made by our company or Warner Bros., but season 2 does not go in the markdown bin.

So frustrated.  I was able to justify $18 each for the other three seasons, but I cannot justify dropping $45 for season 2.  And that's not a season you can just skip, too much important stuff happens! (Plus, if I remember correctly, that's the season that introduces Marcus.  I'm pretty sure watching Marcus as a young girl is the reason accents make me swoon.)

And I would like to second the <3 for Lennier.  He's so adorable!
If I could just reach orbit, then I'd be a wanted fan.

You can get it from Amazon for $29, or third-party sellers for $23 shipped. Not quite $18, but better than $45.

Cytherea: It's not a spoiler, I hope, to point out that the character's name is "Morden" not "Morton".

Cyth, Darth, these are S1 and S2 spoilers ONLY. I will mark S3+ spoilers separately.

The Vir/Londo relationship was close to my favorite overall.

I do enjoy the Vir/Londo relationship, especially the way in which Londo - intentionally or not - guides Vir in his growth as a person.  Vir would never have transformed from the stuttering, naive, terrified little person he was in season 1 into the confident man who faced down Morden in season 2 if Londo hadn't been there.

However, without a doubt my favorite relationship in the show was the one between Londo and G'Kar.
If I could just reach orbit, then I'd be a wanted fan.

Yeah, the Londo/G'Kar dynamic was just great. There was a lot of tension, but a fair amount of comedy to it as well. Without going into any details that might require a spoiler tag, I'll say one of my favorite scenes of the whole series was the one when they were stuck in an elevator together.
My 2¢.
