I am not even joking, you guys. And you thought Sparklepires were bad.

New teen zombie romance movie, Warm Bodies, out in theaters 8/10/12.

Yes. Hollywood is actually that out of touch with the internet and also that low on ideas. Abandon hope, ye wretched consumers and worshipers of the all-seeing, all-speaking She-Beast Goddess that is called Media, etc. etc. But, of course, we should have been prepared, because Penny Arcade predicted this about two years ago.

Hmmm... is this any more necrophilia than Twilight really? I mean, technically-speaking, undead is undead.

The difference is aesthetic. :^)

At least the vampire mythos stemming from Stoker has always had an element of eroticism about it. That's why classic vampires being sexy - terrifying and dangerous predators whose allure is disturbing when the human feels it - gets a pass. But this?

No. Oh, no. Hell no.

The difference between vampires being considered sexy and zombies being considered sexy boils down to one thing for me: Traditionally, vampires are not covered in blood and rotting flesh.  Zombies are.

I keep wondering if necrophilia has made a comeback with zombie fetishism, or that the necrophiliacs have just found an "acceptable" social construct for their fetish.

Hey Kyle - could you put that under a NSFW spoiler or similar? I'd do it myself, but I can't.

Carry on. :)

I admit my title could be misleading, considering what boards we do have here.
