I have persimmons.

I taught a young lady named Pepsi.....(she's now legally changed her name to Caitlin)
She has siblings named Cola, Budweiser and Scottish Wine.... (the were all in foster care cause mom was not all there.)
Good kids....just odd names.

Allowing for nicknames, at least, Cole, Buddy and Scott got off easier than Pepsi. Smile

And I can't believe nobody's mentioned Frank Zappa and his kids Dweezil and Moon Unit yet.

For what it's worth (and for some unknowable reason), I absolutely love the name Dweezil.  When I first heard it I thought "WHOA! COOL!" (as small children do).  I then proceeded to have a crush on Dweezil Zappa.  To this day I still adore the name, and may name a pet that someday...

One of the girls on the Print my last year there had the first name of Brandy-Marie.  Her middle name was Anna-Lisa.

TOO MANY HYPHENS.

Had to resurrect this topic to tell people of a highschool friend who recently named her kid Love-Leigh.  Sick

Another friend named her boy Ehren. Not bad, in itself, just a bitch to spell. I think it must have been her husband's idea, since I distinctly recall many conversations from our early years about how shitty it was to have a name that could easily be misspelled.

Some names are just bad/don't make sense with their titles.  Like Dr. Bushyhead.

Did anyone else read about the kid who took her parents to court just to change her name?

My cousin named her son Pearson-Strummer. Pearson for Lester B. Pearson, and Strummer for the guy from Clash.

It took a whole lot of will power not to catch a train to Toronto and slap her. -_-

After reading that article, maybe I should reconsider naming my kid "James Poseidon."

It's a joke. Laugh.

One of my high school classmates was named Justin Case.  I have no idea what his parents were thinking.  There was also a girl names Jessy James.

Jessy James for a young lady is rather attractive, I think. *Amelia Neptune is an outright sexy, rock and roll name and I wish I could meet a girl with that name!*

I went to schoool with a Justin Thyme. There is a doctor in town whose sign reads "Dr. U.O. Kavu"... which I always grin at as I pass.

I have a friend whose middle name is her first spoken word: "Metoo"
Another friend whose middle name is YaYa! I feel it really suits her, too, though I feel for her brother: YoYo

When I lived in Hamilton there was a listing in the phone book for Phuc Lam Wong. I remember my sister saying he couldn't be Scottish cuz they know how to phh.... well, y'know

e.t.a.*

I used to type for a pediatrician whose last name was Tickle.  I guess if I was a kid, it'd be better than Dr. Hertz.

A friend of mine's sister named her son Paxton Andronicus. I'm not sure why I'm mentioning it here, because I think it ROCKS.

Seriously, try saying it out loud. Then preface it with "Yes, I am..."

So, a kid came to withdraw from school today.  Her name legal name?  Pebbles.  As in Fred and Wilma's child.  The last name makes it even MORE awesome, but I can't post that for obvious legal reasons.

Banana hammock.

I have just discovered the BEST WEBSITE KNOWN TO ALL MANKIND.

http://www.babyzone.com/babynames/nameinventor.asp

It has boy names, girl names, and gender neutral names.

And I am now set on naming all of my future children Lburkiney.  That will be the middle name.  For a girl, I think I will take their suggestion of Rinnng.  And for a boy, Brlanana.  If I ever get bored of the middle name Lburkiney, I would like to name a boy Coma Cold, as per the suggestion of the baby namer.
