I was thinking about snake people the other day. Like, a race of snakes that wrap around peoples necks and control their minds or something. Like a race that would be in a silly fantasy series or RPG or something... Like the leader is this kind of ubersnakeperson from the old times or something who has the ability to install self awareness and mind control powers in normal snakes. He's a very classic power hungry kind of bad guy, prone to phrases like "We will shake the earth to it's core!" (he talks in bold type, yah)

But his minions aren't very intelligent, and are even worse at using the intelligence of their hosts, at least in the early stages of assimilation into their minds, so they end up misunderstanding and saying things like, "We will snake the earth to it's core!" Also they probably just use the word snake as a verb in random inappropriate substitutions. They probably have a lair called "The cave where many unpleasant things snake place" too.

This gives them a very silly reputation much to the ubersnakesman's displeasure. Villains that have ridiculous things to be indignant about are the best evar, btw.

But I would first have to find some kind of issue I disagree with myself on!

Unfortunately, while I agree setting things on fire is an excellent solution to this scenario, what I meant to imply was that your indignation should be so high it should be spontaneously setting things on fire with its intensity.
