I thought it was annoying and hypocritical of Paul to be so furious and disgusted with Jamie for kissing that dude, while at the same time denying any similar feelings she may have had about his near-miss with adultery. Sure, he was certainly entitled to his feelings, but shit, man you fucked up, too!

Of course, this may be seen as a feather in the writers' collective cap, as that is probably a more realistic portrayal of what would have happened as opposed to each of them being equally upset and equally vocal.

Dog wakes me up super early, and after I've taken him outside I sometimes watch Tvland for a half hour or so. The past few days, the story arch has been when they were trying to conceive and then almost broke up.

Attractiveness matters, so stop acting like it doesn't. Don't bemoan being a certain body type when you have a strict type of body type that does it for you. Also, many feminists are hypocritical harpies. Don't bitch about how women have been abused and repressed for generations, then say that all men should be castrated. In this day and age, men seem to have fewer rights than women in general. Woman gets raped, the cops bend over backwards to try to find the one who did it. The most basic definition of disorder is lack of order or regular arrangement; an irregularity. Homosexuality fits that description.

I find medical journals from WW2 in Germany to be fascinating. I do understand that they used horrible methods to find this research out, but they come to some remarkable conclusions about the human body.

I am upset that it is so hard to find these studies, and that when I ask I get the "OMG you evil person!" stare.

I have ideas along the same lines, but stated rather differently, because I find it more interesting to view evolution as working directly on individuals, and on genes, with large scale effects like 'population control' a byproduct.

Homosexual behaviour might evolve as an alternative reproductive strategy. Raising children is a colossal task. Now suppose the world is overcrowded, there is much competition for resources. It's harder still.

In these circumstances homosexuality can make sense. Having children of your own isn't the only way to propagate your genes. Statistically, every brother or sister you have shares as much of your genome as would a son or daughter. A nephew or niece is worth as much as a grandchild. So, your strategy? Do not breed. Instead, stay at home with your mother and help her raise any younger siblings, and be a good and devoted uncle or aunt to any older siblings' children, taking some of the load off their parents. I imagine that homosexuality is an easy way of diverting the sex instinct onto a non-reproductive target; asexuality is probably a bigger ask for human brain chemistry.

I remember hearing that statistically, the more older brothers a man has, the more likely he is to be gay. I wonder if that's a triggering factor? Many older brothers means a good likelihood that by the time you reach breeding age you will already be an uncle several times over.
