What are your little body mutations?
Hey, if you have the eye lasers or blue skin with the ability to shapeshift, feel free to mention it, but I have a feeling it'll be more like stuff like Mark Wahlberg's Supernumerary nipple.

Myself, I have a hole in my left leg right under the skin.  It doesn't hurt, its like a dent.  Also, I used to have head bumps before a visit to the doc zapped them away.

Birthmark on my FACE. Jawline, about the size of a quarter if the quarter was stretched into an oval. Very insecure about it, but improving!

I have deformed toenails on my little toes. It's kind of hard to describe and I'm way too insecure about them to take photos, but they grow kind of...curled up. They're kind of cylindrical? I've cut them right down to the cuticle (or as far as I can) for a really long time, but when they get long they look like hooks.

If you don't mind the question, like warts, bone spurs, or what?

Several years ago, I saw a man in a department store with lots of reddish circles of flesh on his head; they protruded through his hair. They looked raw and painful. I could tell from his body language that he was very self-conscious. I felt sorry for him but I was very careful not to let him see me looking at him like that, because it really sucks to have someone look at you and see pity in the person's eyes. Had he looked in my direction at all, I would have made eye contact, but I was behind him most of the time.

Hmm, I have so many.  As is typical, I have strawberry birthmarks on the back of my head, which are only visible if I have the back of my hair super short, and/or lift & part the hair for viewing.  I've also got one nipple shaped like a large C.  But the big one(s) are that I have Uterus Didelphys which is a Mullerian Anomaly and means duplicated reproductive system.  While I think I only have two ovaries and two fallopian tubes, I also have two uteri, two cervices and two vaginas.  Since the renal system develops at the same time in utero as the reproductive system, I've also got four kidneys.  There are only two exterior kidney shapes, but each has two complete internal systems.  Along with that I've got four ureters between the kidneys and my bladder.  Since I'm the Queen of TMI, I often share most of this information with people on a first meeting.

I can't easily touch my pinky to my thumb. Some little weirdness in the tendons in my hands.

Um.

Got a couple little freckles, skin tags, that sort of thing. So does everyone else.

I can roll my tongue.

Oh, yes. And my grandmother took a teratogen (an anti-nausea medication, it was) while pregnant with my mother, so now I and my mom both have reproductive system anomalies. Nothing grossly structural, but it's genetic things like almost never having a normal pap smear, and high incidence of ovarian and fallopian cysts, and raised risk of cervical and ovarian cancer, and the fact it's rather difficult to have a normal full term-pregnancy. Miscarriages, premature births, placenta previa, that sort of thing.

So, I have an IUD.

I am very glad that the FDA tests for teratogenic properties now, and that our standards are so high for new drugs.

Well they were actually sebaceous cysts, but since most people find the idea of those things a bit gross, I figured I would be vague.  Odd mutation bonus though, thanks to a lack of health insurance I had them for several years and during that time the pressure of one of them under the scalp "dented" the bone, so there's a noticeable to the touch depression in that area.  Also there's the scar, where the merry-go-round hit me in the back of the head, and a patch of hair which comes in curly

I have deformed toenails on my little toes. It's kind of hard to describe and I'm way too insecure about them to take photos, but they grow kind of...curled up. They're kind of cylindrical?
It has changed to be less pronounced, but through my teen years, my finger nails grew in, in a sort of hexagonal shape.  Rather than a curved nail bed across the nail, my nail beds grew in a sort set of segmented ridges.

Nope, not happening, and I apologize if I've given that sort of notion about myself.  My somewhat guarded nature combined with my propensity for questioning, and a tendency for "foot-in-mouth" disease may have given the wrong impression and for that I am sorry.

Do I start a lot of topics given my "new guy" status?  Probably.  Are a lot of those topics, questions?  Yes.
I like to bring up ideas for discussion, neat things I find here and there and share them as grist for the conversational mill.  I ponder things all the time.  "Why aren't sandwiches served in edible cones rather than on bread?  Would a conewich work?"  "Which will we have 1st, sentient AI or Mars colony?"  "Who would win in a fight, in 'A New Hope' Darth Vader or Obi Wan if he 'really tried'?"

You folks are the closest thing I have had to a peer group in a long time.  If I've let that exuberance that being a part of something, has made me feel overwhelm, I'm sorry.  I shall do better in the future.

Keep making topics.  It's always nice to see posts other than the 1,000-page long threads being replied to.

I have a friend who had sebaceous cysts, who also got them zapped.

As far as I know I don't have any particular mutations or what not.  Boring old me.  :(

My toes curl outwards. I have ingrowing toenails on my big toes. I have freakishly long eyelashes for a boy. I have thin, delicate fingers, and I'm double jointed. My eyes are particularly sensitive to light- I tend to squint, or walk looking downwards, in bright sunlight. My teeth are cramped in my mouth.

Oh, and

If you don't mind my asking, how does this work? Do you have like, smaller, vestigial secondary parts growing on top of your other parts? Or is it all internal? How can you have that many extra organs in there? Googlefu has let me down on this one.

I was born with one kidney smaller than the other, which had to be monitored for a while before they said, "well, whatever, he can get by on one..."; I have no toenails on my big toes, thanks to ingrowing toenails as a teenager; I have a large flat mole coloured birthmark on my left instep; my little toenails are tiny; my thumbs are an odd shape due to hammerthumb; I have a secondary nipple attached to my left nipple; I sometimes get random skin tags;

I have a friend who found out relatively late in life (she was in her forties) that one of her kidneys is much smaller than the other, and much closer to the front of her torso than the rear.

I am envious of people who can wiggle their ears.

My right thumb is shorter than my left one. I am apparently more flexible than I give myself credit for (I can get both legs behind my head at the same time, and I can apparently do that hands-together-behind-my-back thing that Arachne posted in...whatever thread that was).

The reason it's called a Mullerian Anomaly is that the reproductive system is formed from what starts as two tubes called Mullerian Ducts.  They fuse together to form the system.  Mine stopped fusing way early in the process.  Both of my uteri are smaller than a normal one, so if I wanted kids, carrying one kid would be like twins in a normal uterus.  As far as I know the cervices and vaginas are similar to normal size, except the left side is smaller / more angled.
