Proposed change of forum name
« on: May 25, 2011, 02:42:49 PM »
Should the name of this forum change from 'Sex' to 'The Ministry of Love'?

The poll will be open for awhile. If anyone does in fact have a better idea, it may be edited in later. Which is why you can change your vote.
Yes is the word to everything.

Well, there was SLI back in the day...

A note: "meh" should be removed, as I imagine a number of people who don't care one way or the other would probably prefer SLI if it gets changed at all. 'cuz Miniluv is silly.

By the way, SLI is Sex, Love and Intimacy, for those not in the know.

I'd prefer to keep a vote of "meh" present -- why should someone be forced into a preference?

We could change it to something either horrifying or bland to keep out the lookie-loos

How about "Diverticulitis: Dietary Feedback" or "19th Century Chartered Accountancy"

If you truly have no preference, just don't vote. I mean, unless you write-in "I protest this fraud" every time there's a real election, what do you need a null option for? :p

Is having a "meh" vote really on your nerves that much?

There is actually a substantive difference between a vote of "meh" and not responding. "Meh" means "I have read the proposed change and find all proposed options acceptable enough to go on with." ... "No response" is more likely to mean, "I have not read this, have no idea what's happening, and may be surprised by the results".

Not to mention, you can't see how answers are currently trending unless you pick an answer and submit it. :P

Well, it's better than Ministry of Peace. Or Minipax, as we like to call it around the office.

"19th Century Chartered Accountancy".... is that the new "Ugandan Relations"?

Er...yeah you can.  To the right of the final option it says "View results."  If you click that it shows how the voting is going.

We can't name it Steve.  Steve's Mom was the name of the theater arts printer at school.  If this forum becomes Steve, I'll get all confused and accidentally put school things in sex and sex things in school!
