Penis.

I disagree.  I was thinking that
(click to show/hide)
worked while
(click to show/hide)
was a bit too far.

Srsly.

What's sad is that I clicked on those two or three times, trying to figure out how it worked into the conversation...and this is why I'm the perfect target for all kinds of practical jokes.

Getting back to the seriousness stuff a little:

As for changing the looks of this place, I'm against it.  The blues and grays are, IMO, the best coloring for internet reading.  It's what I use on my EllJay, as well.  I'm personally adverse to change in general, but, really, if it's not broke why fix it?

Also, I am on A lot of Vicodin, I may not be making the most of sence, sorry.

Left his attack boots in China

Yes, that. I feel like that point was missing from my post, so I'm signing on to it. The colors here are perfect: tasteful, low-contrast, easy to read. Changing them would be like altering physics or messing with football.

I do have a suggestion there...

How about giving users the choice of colours? The club nowhere chat has that option by default, and it's all done through CSS style sheets. So it should be a relatively simple thing to do. In theory at least.

The layout could stay the same or change however Kyle thinks is appropriate, but giving the users a few choices for colours might be pretty darn cool. And I'm not talking about user-defined colours either. Just a set of pre-defined colour sets.

Edit to add:
Some ideas off the top of my head:
seasonal themes
holiday themes (pagan/traditional/etc)
high contrast themes, such as white text on black background, etc

The list could go on. Smile

'Lock's minx

I know I'm not on much anymore, but I do like this place an awful lot and I like the name. A lot of other people have already given good reasons, and Adam has condensed them quite nicely, so I'll just point you there for my reasons.

But just in case you need another one: Starlock and I are old. We have trouble remembering that this is ZetaChannel instead of xForums; if you change the name again we'll both be utterly lost.

"Lady, you're my kind of stupid."

For what it's worth, I vote no against a name change at this point.

However *laughs*...if "Foad.com" is available let's go with that.

(ETA:  I know TGU was talking about fixer specifically, but she's a sweetheart anyway.)

Hey, I'm only 23, and I'm still completely lost without my bookmarks.  You know how many times I've had 'Xforums.net' all typed out and just before hitting 'Enter', have to go 'D'oh' and start again?

I'm a weasel.

I figure, if you're younger than my parents, you aren't old.

Hence, I can only think of two people on this board who qualify as "old".  Actually, only one for sure.  I'm guessing on the other.

Neither of them live in California.

Sometimes my comments are much funnier when I realize that I am making a joke about what was posted on page 1 and that we are now on page 4 of a thread.

There's something that I would be rea;;y really disapointed if it changed.

Zetachannel is the only forum I have ever beena part of which remembers what posts I have actually read, and which I have not.

If I click Active Threads, it really and truly only shows me those threads I have unread posts in, and if I click on the little orange whatnot on a thread, it actually takes me to the first post made since I was here.

In other forums, Unread is not even half as accurate - either things I have never seen but which were there to be read last time I logged on are marked as Read, or things I have already read are marked as Unread.

Please don;t let the Read/Unread whatnotness get spoiled.
