OK, something to maybe keep in mind: now that we are back to the old style, I notice that the site is *much* snappier than before. Both page loading and layout seem to be a lot quicker than when I was using the new style. As far as I am concerned, performance was worst yesterday when everyone was on the new style.

I would have to say I was ambivalent to the changes yesterday, they were neither good nor bad.  Today, with the darker background it makes the lighter foreground seem much crisper and cleaner.  The foreground doesn't blend into the background...  I like it very much.  I also have always associated this dark blue with Zch and I couldn't put my finger on what I was missing yesterday, but I would say it was a dark blue color somewhere on the page.

Looks great, Kyle, keep it up!

See, to me the gradients were easier on the eyes.  The harsh contrasts between colors (after getting used to the gradients) just seems visually jarring.

See I like contrast, it makes things crisper in my eyes.  Then again my sense for design is to have stark contrast to bring out what you most want seen.  Personally, this current view is quite nice and works very well for me. 

Then again in design you cannot please everyone and everyone cannot assume that they must be pleased.  While we play here the design is Kyle's playground, his sandbox for playing to enhance his skills - I'm just glad he shares and lets us use the whirly gig and the jungle gym.

I think this looks awesome Kyle. Much easier on the eyes. I did kind of like the gradients too. I just thought they needed a darker pop behind them. I do much like this though. My eyes are happy.

Are the functions across the top of the page different than yesterday?
Or is it just the font that is much bigger on The Rules, FAQ, Search & members?
Something looks a little off up there.....but I can't put my finger on it.
