I joined a group from my guild for some BG for The first time evar!!! and we didn't even stay in AV... the horde ALWAYS loses AV, and it can take an hour to do so.  We just killed the first Ally friendly boss and jumped to another BG for a quick 75 Honor and one mark.

In our battlegroup, overall the Horde wins all battlegrounds a disturbing percentage of the time, except AV:

 
Cyclone Battlegroup Wins:
                           Horde       Alliance
Alterac Valley         1,030        1,495
Arathi Basin            841           385
Warsong Gulch        914           563
Eye of the Storm     444           202

Having pvped all the time like whoa for months, I can tell you this mostly seems to be because Alliance fails to get organized against us in most bgs, and we can basically pick off the low hanging fruit of their group for slaughter while laughing our way to the bank with our honor and tokens..  Whereas in AV, the Alliance actually seems to *gasp* have a strategy, as opposed to my lovely Horde friends, who go "uhm, durdurdur I charge Bal then run straight to Vann without capping towers or anything, ok?"  Which, when it works, works fast.  But it almost never works.

And?  It would be inconsistent for Blizzard to say "this is the story" and then allow characters to readily play in a way that is not congruent with their agreed canonical story line.   Like the guy who organized a full peace on his server, got all of the RPers to convince everyone else not to BG or skirmish, and Blizzard offered him money to quit the game and tell everyone to skirmish again.

OK, I downloaded a new addon (Auctioneer, if that matters) and I can't figure out how to actually activate it.  It's been moved to the addon directory in the WoW file.  The files have all been unzipped.  Computer has been rebooted for good measure.  The damn thing still won't show up when I press the addon button on the character selection screen!

I just wanna know how much things are worth. *pout*

some unzipping programmes seem to add an extra directory...

Your path should look like C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns\Auctioneer and inside the Auctioneer directory there should be Database, Libs, Sounds, Textures and UserInterface directories, as well as 25ish other files, including a couple of readmes.

Is this the case?

Hmmm... I don't use Auctioneer.

I use MyRolePlay, Questhelper, Cartographer, PallyPower, and I just got Healbot but I don't really use it.

Anyone have any suggestions for add-ons? Sorry TGU, I have nno helpful input as to why it isn't showing. Do other add-ons show? You should maybe try that, just to comparison test.

I always have a hard time with new Add-ons. Thats why I bug Jabba so much to help me out.

My shammy is almost level 40 and I am so excited to be able to wear mail. I am trying to get the Scarlet Monastery set!

Well, what I would do then, is to either (if you use lots of addons and reinstalling them all would burn your bottom) delete all of Auctioneer, re-download and reinstall it, or (if you use few addons) rename your Addons directory to AddonsOld or something similarly creative (or even delete it), and start over, downloading and installing.

Hmm...I'll have to try that in the morning.  Wilson downloaded and installed the only other two addons I have (TomTom and Lightheaded), so I'm kinda flailing around trying to figure this out.
